Case Study: Indigo Fitness

The challenge

A Bright Solution looked at the space available in a strength and conditioning facility, a large space that was not always occupied. Heating the facility full time would be very wasteful, and heating it when only when occupied would result in wasted energy also as standard heating systems take around 20 minutes to warm the facility. This means visitors are cold during the start of their workouts, and those doing short workouts see no benefit at all despite the cost of beginning the heating process.

Our solution

Our energy and sustainability solution was to find a way to heat the area instantly, only when needed. We used infrared spot heaters that emit heat as soon as they are activated regardless of any external influences such as weather. The heaters can be activated individually to ensure they only operate when required.
